THE KUNDALINI
ENERGY
WHAT IS KUNDALINI ENERGY?
Kundalini is a dormant energy within most peple. In Hindu mythology, Kundalini is a serpent goddess who lies asleep at the base of the spine, coiled three and a half times around the first chakra. Her name is Kundalini Shakti, and she represents the unfolding of the divine Shakti energy, the energizing potential of life itself, a living goddess who enlivens all things. Under certain circumstances, the Kundalini energy awakens and begins to rise through the body, piercing and opening the chakras as she moves in her undulating, snake-like fashion. As Kundalini releases stored and blocked energies, her movement can be quite intense, sometimes painful, and often leads to mental states that seem out of this world. Circumstances that stimulate Kundalini awakening are many and varied, but are usually triggered by such things as extended periods of meditation, yoga, fasting, stress, trauma, psychedelic drugs, or near death experiences. Kundalini is a condensed, primal force, similar to the potential energy found in water. When released, it creates a vertical connection between the chakras by opening the subtle channels known as nadi, most specifically, the central channel that moves up the spine called sushumna. If we put water through a small hose at very high pressure, the end of the hose will undulate like a snake. Similarly, the intense energy of Kundalini undulates in the body as it rises through the chakras. Kundalini can also be seen as a result of the chakras connecting to each other. Theoretically, as the chakras enlarge, the spinning of one can enchance the spinning of the one above or below it. Kundalini is basically a healing force, but its effects can sometimes be quite unpleasant. Such effects may last for minutes, days, months, or even years. If you find yourself dealing with uncomfortable Kundalini awakening symptoms, you should:
1) Purify the body. Abstain from recreational drugs, tobacco, alcohol, and caffein, prescription drugs. Avoid food additives, high sugars, or greasy foods. Eat well, especially protein which is generally grounding. Get massage and vigorous exercise.
2) Reduce stress. If you are in for a major spiritual transformation, make time for the necessary changes in your life. You may need to devote more time to your spirituality or health
3) Find Support. Find other who have knowledge of this experience.
4) Educate yourself. Read about Kundalini, Kundalini awakening,Yoga and learn about Chakras
5) Treat underlying psychological issues. As Kundalini brings up unresolved issues, this is the best time to deal with them. It will make the ride smoother.
6) Examine your spiritual practices. If you have not been practicing meditation, yoga or some spiritual practice, it may be time to begin. You might need to stop meditating for a while if it increases unpleasant Kundalini awakening symptoms. See what increases or decreases the unpleasant effects.
7) Practice grounding. Kundalini is most difficult when the energy is moving upward without enough energy moving downward to balance. Investigate the possibility of the first chakra issues that need to be resolved in order to give a firmer base. Practice grounding exercise daily.
Kundalini Reiki can also help with problems with this energy. It will safely and gently awaken it. If awakened Kundalini will complete the cleansing and purification of body layers, chakras and energy channels. With additional Reiki energy this process will become faster and smoother. When the body layers are cleansed it will increase our energy vibration and expand our consciousness. By opening the Kundalini the personal development process will accelerate. The entrance for the Kundalini energy is through the First or Base chakra which connects us to the Earth energy. It runs through the main energy channel and out of the Crown chakra. The two most basic forms of energy reach the human system from the base and the krown chakra. These two chakras are linked by the Sushumna, which is connected to the rest of the chakras by their "stems". These stems provide the chakras with essential energy. The Sushumna is at the same time the channel through which the Kundalini energy is stimulated. When it is stimulated, its energy is converted into various frequences for each of the chakras. The energy is manifested via the lowest frequences of the base chakra, and highest frequences of the crown chakra. These converted frequences are conveyed to the subtle bodies and to physical body, and they are percived by us as sensations, emotions, and thoughts.
REIKI AND THE KUNDALINI EXPERIENCE
There is an important energy in each of us, human beings, centred in the tailbone area. Usually this energy functions on a low level and we don't notice it consciously. This energy is much stronger in case of certain peak experiences, life and death situations or periods of major change in our lives. What does this energy do? Combined with other energies (in our food and from the earth, sun, the air, spiritual realms etc.), it forms an essential part of our life. Without kundalini there is no life! It has an essential function in the formation, development and changes of our bodies during our entire life. It can both reinforce our emotions and mental concentration and also disturb these! On a spiritual level, it can lead to peak experiences and can help to realise moments of unity with our Self and the God within (the enlightenment experience). If we start developing the kundalini energy in a conscious way, 'doors keep opening' in our spiritual development and new areas for healing and spiritual attunement become available. Step by step the aura reader and healer will discover new possibilities in treating his or her clients
The Sanskrit word 'kundalini' means the 'curled one'. Clairvoyant observation of the energy body reveals for the experienced aura reader a curled channel within 31/2 windings in our tailbone area. This is not the only kundalini centre. In our crown area is another less well known kundalini centre. In the aura above our head there are three other centres and this we find repeated in the aura under the tailbone. All together eigth centres
In addition to the ascending stream of more physical oriented kundalini energy is, a descending stream of spiritual or cosmic kundalini energy. If we work in a conscious way with kundalini energy in meditation and selfhealing it is important to keep a balance between these two
SEVEN LEVELS OF AWAKENING
Mastery of the seven levels of kundalini activation frees the way to other ways of kundalini arousal. One important way is for instance the "decurling" of the 3 1/2 winding in the kundalini centres. This too can contribute to a process of continuing spiritual development and exploring the ultimate source within.
Some people may unexpectedly experience a spontaneous kundalini awakening. They feel suddenly strong energy waves in their body, sensations of heat and cold, clairvoyant visions, intense dreams, literally feeling the energy making its way through their energy body and so on. These sensations may be pleasant but also alarming or frightening. Aura readings of persons with a spontaneous kundalini awakening often reveal a past life where the kundalini had been forced to over activity usually with the help of a special teacher or other person.
SPONTANEOUS KUNDALINI AWAKENING
One of the fascinating things is that during this awakening process new elements of our spiritual self become disclosed. Examples of these processes include: making the vital life forces more conscious, discovering the memory stores of this life and other lives, becoming aware of what happens during our sleep, the origin and functions of our subpersonalities, the role of kundalini in conception and gestation of the human embryo, the field of power we can radiate with kundalini energy, the causal energy bodies, the seats of the soul, experiences of unity and so on. All of them contribute to a deeper understanding and knowing of who we are. It allows also to meet our fellow human beings at a more deeper, more essential level.

WHERE IS KUNDALINI ENERGY?
In the development of kundalini in the body, seven levels or stages of awakening can be distinguished. In each level the kundalini has its own pattern of energy. On the first level, for example, the kundalini flows mostly in the energy body as a quiet and, if not disturbed, often pleasant energy. On the second level the kundalini starts flowing as fountains of energy. The fountain can flow in the body but can also flow out of our crown and hands. Peak experiences in which we have the feeling that everything in us and around us 'flows' involve often this second level of kundalini activity. On higher levels of kundalini awakening the energy becomes more intense and also the flow pattern of the energy changes. By doing certain energy exercises it is possible to develop the kundalini gradually and to master higher levels of awakened kundalini.
